At LUX you can find art from the Lund university art collection, and a collection of works on permanent loan from the Public Art Agency Sweden.
Men vänta nu (but wait)
Annika Ström created and installed the building-specific artwork men vänta nu (but wait) in 2014 when LUX opened. Ström’s work consists of several text fragments which can be discovered in unexpected spots in, on and around the building.
Art from the Public Art Agency
The art collection from the Public Art Agency Sweden consists of approximately forty works in diverse techniques, such as painting, photography, drawing, graphic arts and sculpture. The artists have a Swedish background; many with a connection to our region and some even to Lund. Several have international careers. The art collection comprises works from the latter part of the 20th century and onwards. Some of the artists behind the works are Carlos Capelan, Samira Englund, Jonas Liveröd, Tamara Malmeström de Laval, Claes Oldenburg, Madeleine Pyk and John Wipp.
Experience art in everyday life! By making the government-owned artworks accessible for staff, students and visitors, we aim to contribute to the dynamic environment that is LUX.
