Person

I am a Senior Lecturer in Information Studies and amember of the research group "Information practices: Communication,Culture and Society" and of ”The International Network on InformationLiteracy Research”. I am a teacher at the ALM Master program.

My research interests mainly follow three tracks. One concerns information practices and learning, more specifically information literacy or media and information literacy, in various settings. My thesis concerns information literacy related to evaluation of contraceptives. The second track concerns information practices within the context of sexual health in which I am now studying information practices around the administration ofHPV-vaccine in the Swedish school healthcare. The third track concerns cultural policy and particularly development of public libraries. Valid for all three tracks is an interest on how local practices take on a social function and significance.

My research interests mainly follow three tracks. One concerns information practices and learning, more specifically information literacy or media and information literacy, in various settings. My thesis concerns information literacy related to evaluation of contraceptives. The second track concerns information practices within the context of sexual and reproductive health. I am now studying information practices around the administration of HPV-vaccine in the Swedish school healthcare. The third track concerns cultural policy and particularly development of public libraries. Valid for all three tracks is an interest on how local practices take on a social function and significance.
