The University of Oslo library has defined “research support in digital methods” as one of its areas for strategic development. Departing from the traditional role of the subject librarian with expertise in a specific field of research, we have broadened the scope of our support and guidance service with digital research methods. UBO meets the university-wide digital skill development demand with its newly established Digital Scholarship Center. However, we have recently entered a partnership with the Dept of Archeology, Conservation and History and the Dept. of Culture Studies and Oriental Languages to meet their researchers’ needs where they are with an on-site contact who guides and supports individual researchers and projects in various digital activities.
