Camila Borges: Memory as a territory of resistance in LGBTQ archives: Lesbian Herstory Archives (USA) and Archives Recherches et Cultures Lesbiennes (France)

Research Seminar for Mediated Culture and Information

This research aims at investigating the history and practices of the archives presented above. It will discuss processes of memory-making and knowledge production linked to embodied practices and subjectivities in these archives. I am interested in looking at how they create resistance and political engagement, and strengthen the senses of community and activism through practices of remembrance. Camila Borges begins her PhD studies in Information Studies in September 2022 and will present her research plan in the seminar.
