Popular music studies as digital culture studies
From inception to reception, popular music is increasingly entangled in ubiquitous computing culture. This has consequences for the ontology of the musical work, compositional agency, listening practices and how these interrelate. In this short introduction, I will present my research, the implementation of digital culture studies and future challenges for a digital popular music studies.
