Our course in Material Culture addresses how this developing field of research studies individual and social relations to material things. Theories about the world of produced physical objects and related human activities are illuminated by practical examples from the sciences and arts, politics and common life. The course trains critical reasoning about the importance of material culture to knowledge production and dissemination.
