Where are we? What kind of place is Lund and Lund University? In this course you will learn more about Lund as regional city and place of higher education, about its history and its dependence on international relations and collaborations.

The Dean decides
- The Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology will temporarily transfer to distance teaching and examination by using the online platform Canvas or the tool Zoom. Exceptions are possible with consideration to e.g. group sizes. The change will occur starting March 18 2020 and will persist until the recommendations relating to the corona epidemic change.
The course is based on field studies and visits to important places of interest, museums, archives, libraries, laboratories, etc., which will give us a glimpse behind the scenes. We will visit places from the middle ages to the present time, even into the future. The course is multidisciplinary and discusses art, architecture, objects, ideas, science, and other topics that in all forms a university. You will after this course have a richer understanding of Lund and its university, how it has emerged since the 17th century and how it has been formed in a global world.
