I am an Assistant Professor in Digital Cultures at the Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences at Lund University. My research is positioned at the intersection of critical algorithm and data studies, digital culture, and platform studies. I combine qualitative and theoretical methodologies and my research is further shaped by my background in cultural studies and my interests in gendered, racial and class-based accounts of algorithmic cultures.
In 2021, I received my PhD degree from the University of Copenhagen with a dissertation on Algorithmic Intimacies.
In my current research project Synthetic Data Cultures, I am interested in the synthetic turn in the production of data. This concerns socio-political issues regarding synthetic data for AI development, and the synthetic as an aesthetic expression within digital cultures. Further, I study synthetic content in the context of platform environments.
In the Research Portal you can search and find information about all active researchers, units, publications, projects, infrastructures, and more, to get an overview of Lund University research.
