My research interests include the history of scholarship and the humanistic disciplines, with a particular emphasis on the history of historiography. Above all I am interested in the history of the classical tradition in the period spanning between the fifteenth and eighteenth centuries. Currently I am engaged in researching the prehistory of the idea of cultural heritage in early modern Europe.
