What kind of place is Lund and Lund University? In this course you will learn more about Lund as city and place of higher education, about its history and its dependence on international relations and collaborations.
The course is based on field studies and visits to places of interest such as museums, archives, libraries and laboratories, which will offer you a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the city and its university. We will visit sites ranging from the Middle Ages to the present day and even into the future. This multidisciplinary course covers art, architecture, artefacts, ideas, science and other topics that form a university. After completing this course, you will have a richer understanding of Lund and Lund University, and how the city and its university have evolved since the 17th century in a global world.
