Musical Intimacy in the Age of TikTok

Anders will present his upcoming project "Musical Intimacy in the Age of TikTok," which investigates how intimacy is perceived and intersected across short video content and contemporary pop music. The research explores how TikTok leverages musical intimacy and, conversely, how contemporary music is adjusting to the platform's specific notions of proximity. To do this, the project will bring together the fields of digital intimacy, music production studies, and popular music studies.
